The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh' Award is a world wide self-development program for all young people between the ages of 14 and 25. The Award Scheme is a non competitive program that encourages young people to set and achieve goals at a level appropriate to their needs.
There are over 5 million young people in over 100 countries participating in the Award Scheme. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has three (3) levels:
Each of these has four (4) sections:
The Gold Award also has a Residential Project.
Participants design their own program by selecting activities that interest them and setting and achieving their goals through following minimum requirements for their level.

*Plus for the Major Section: All participants must complete an additional 3 months in either Fitness, Skill or Volunteering.
**Participants who have not achieved a Bronze Award must complete an additional 6 months in either Fitness, Skill or Volunteering
