Excursions

Any student required to leave the school grounds during the school day or to travel under school auspices as part of a school activity, will require a signed parental authority. Parents will receive a variation to routine form setting out the nature of and reasons for the activitiy as well as times, dates and venues. The emergency care status of the supervising staff member will also be noted. Before an activity proceeds it must be approved by the head of faculty, DP and the Principal. In most cases an accompanying letter will set out full details of the activity. Parents are urged to check with the school if they have any questions about the approval or about the activity.

Students that are on step 3 (or higher) of the school's Discipline System or have an overdue excursion account, will not be allowed to attend excursions; the Prinipal also supports the right of the teacher in charge of an excursion to exclude any student whom that teacher has reason to believe might jeopardise the safety of students or the good order of the excursion. The school regrets that no variation to the collection and drop-off places and times (as they appear on the VTR form) will be considered.

Representatives Events

Details of such activities will usually be sent to parents, and students will be expected to fulfil and agree to all the requirements and conditions of such an activity. School uniform must be worn on all representative events and excursions unless alternative suitable dress is specified.
