Uniforms
It is the policy of Bowral High School that all students wear the correct uniform. This pokicy is endorsed by the school commuity and the Department of Education and Training. The wearing of school uniform is a parent's responsibility, not a student's choice. The uniform students are expected to wear to school is as follows:
Boys Girls

Juniors

  • *Collared white school shirt (suitable for a tie).
  • *Grey shorts or long grey pants.
  • *Navy jumper, sloppy joe, top jacket or blazer.
  • *Plain white scoks (above the ankle)
  • *School tie for school photos/excursions/ representative events.

Juniors

* Collared white school blouse (suitable for a tie).

* Black Watch Tartan A-Line or pleated skirt (not straight, tight or short) and/or tailored navy pants.

* Navy jumper, sloppy joe, top, jacket or blazer.

* Plain white socks (above the ankle) or navy stockings.

* School tie for school photos, excursions, representative events.

Seniors

* As above except for a senior tie

Seniors

* As above except plain navy blue skirt, navy blue tights/panty hose and a senior tie.

Footwear: Students are expected to wear black fully enclosed shoes with leather uppers, particiularly for safety reasons so that they can participate in practical lessons including Science and in accordance with OH & S guidelines.

Jewellery: Facial jewellery other than a pair of ear sleepers/students and one  plain flat ring in NOT allowed. Makeup and nail polish are not appropriate at school and long hair should be secured.

Commemorative Tops: These must be approved by the school and may be worn by Year 10 students and senior students on normal school days. They are not permitted on formal or representative occasions.

Hats/Caps: For sunsafe protection, plain navy or white wide brimmed hats are recommended. Caps are permitted but not preferred because they provide only limited protection.

NOTE

1. Students who is present at school and regularly out of uniform may not represent the school or participate in excursions.

2. If a student is unable to wear the uniform due to misadventure or special problem, an explanatory noote is to be taken to the Head Teacher (girls) or Head Teacher (boys) before school. If appropriate students will be provided with items from the Uniform Shop.  Parents will be informed if students are out of uniform.
